Progressive International Corporation Voluntarily Recalls One Handed Jar Lifter 

The One Handed Jar Lifter is designed for use with one or both hands grabbing the handles of the Jar Lifter whose tongs grip the jar as illustrated below. In some cases, the handle can fail causing the Jar Lifter to lose its grip on the jar. As a result, the user could drop the canning jar thereby posing a laceration hazard to the user.

The One Handed Jar Lifters affected were sold from February 22, 2012 to October 10, 2012.

Consumers should immediately stop using this One Handed Jar Lifter and contact Progressive International Corporation to receive a free replacement Jar Lifter.

The replacement One Handed Jar Lifter can be identified with a marking in either location as indicated below:

The recalled One Handed Jar Lifter unit WILL NOT have any markings as indicated above.
